Trina Solar showcases the most durable module at Renewable Energy India Expo

Trina SolarThursday, September 04, 2014: Trina Solar Limited, a global leader in photovoltaic modules, solutions, and services has introduced an innovative Duo-Max module series at the 8th Renewable Energy India Expo ongoing in Greater Noida. The Duo-Max modules is known as frameless dual-glass modules, which comes in 60-cell (PDG5) and 72-cell (PEG14 and PDG14 series) version. The 60-cell module and other newly-developed products will be displayed at Trina Solar’s booth 7.84.

The Duo-Max module comprises two layers of 2.5mm thin heat-strengthened glass, which replaces the conventional glass and back sheet structure. The products have received quality certifications, including the IEC61215, IEC61730 and UL1703 standards form world leading independent testing and certification organizations. It provides a heavy-duty solution for harsh environments with high temperature, humidity or UV conditions, which are exactly what the climatic features are inIndia. It can be widely used in multiple markets including utility, residential and commercial.

The Duo-Max modules is by far one of the most durable modules in the market, which have increased resistance to cell micro-cracking, potential induced degradation, module warping, degradation from UV rays, and sand abrasion, as well as alkali, acids or salt mist. In addition, because of less micro-cracks and moisture ingress, double-glass modules present a much lower risk of so-called “snail track” generation.

In line with Trina Solar’s philosophy of high performance and reliable quality, both the 60-cell and 72-cell comes with a 10-year guarantee, and its linear performance is guaranteed for 30 years (0.5% or less output deterioration per year for 30 years).

“In accordance with the principles of providing smart solutions for our clients, the Duo-Max products are one of the most popular products.Trina Solar has received significant interest from both existing and prospective customers due to its superior value proposition and numerous unique features.” saidHelena Li, Managing Director of Asia & Middle East Region of Trina Solar. “This time we want to introduce the innovative product to those in need, and bring more power and convenience toIndia.”
