Veira Group Set to Manufacture webOS Hub 2.0 Smart TVs

  • Veira—a strategic ODM India partner for the OS—aims to manufacture over a lakh webOS Smart TVs for leading Indian brands
  • webOS Hub is developed in partnership with multiple audio, video & content technology brands worldwide

Touted to be one of the largest original design manufacturers (ODMs) for smart TVs in India, Veira Group recently announced that it has begun production and manufacturing of webOS Hub 2.0 Smart TVs. As a strategic ODM India partner for the OS, Veira aims to manufacture more than 100,000 webOS Smart TVs for the leading Indian brands. LG’s webOS is a leading global smart television platform, and the new webOS Hub ecosystem claims to provide a refined user experience. As webOS Hub 2.0 is manufactured by only a few licensed manufacturers in India, the partnering companies expect to double their volumes for India.

Director of Operations at Veira Group, Mr Sharan Maini said, “We at Veira are committed to refining and expanding our smart TV experience for users. With webOS Hub 2.0 we are introducing more and more consumers to the unparalleled user experience of smart, integrated & content-specific TVs.”

Veira affirmed that its goal is to collaborate with India’s leading brands to strengthen the OS ecosystem and create an immersive experience for the users here. It is noteworthy that Veira group recently invested 200 crores in their new manufacturing unit. This will take its production to a total of 4 million LED TVs per year, from the present 10 lakh units annual capacity. The group hopes that with webOS Hub 2.0, it can set a new standard for webOS Hub TV sales in India.

webOS Hub is developed in partnership with multiple audio, video & content technology brands around the globe and has been certified by over 160 broadcasters worldwide. Notably, webOS Hub Smart TVs incorporate many third-party apps supported by LG’s streaming operating system, including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus, YouTube, and Fubo TV. webOS Hub also includes ThinQ AI, which allows users to control the TV and other ThinQ-enabled IoT devices with their voice.

Established in 1975, Veira Group has been engaged in the manufacturing of electronic products since its inception. It identifies itself as a purpose-oriented company focused on Quality and R&D. The company aims to provide solutions to all the multiple brands in the country for fulfilling their needs to supply products in consumer durables, home appliances and white goods. Veira also repairs and refurbishes all its enabled fields including products like LED TVs, and Audio systems.
