Thursday, November 12, 2014: Vikram Solar PV modules are now certified by UL and approved by the California Energy Commission (CEC). The Kolkata based Vikram Solar, an advanced solar PV manufacturer had received UV 1703 certification in mid-September for its 60-cell polycrystalline solar panels. The listing states module wattage sizes from 240 to 270 Wp, with white back sheets and clear frames. As per the company, the other module products will also be certified very soon, involving 72-cell modules, black frame, and black back sheet models.
These solar PV modules were even added to the California Energy Commission listing, as incentive eligible photovoltaic modules in compliance with SBI Guidelines on 3 November’2014. Gyanesh Chaudhary, Vikram Solar’s founder and CEO shared his excitement over crossing a major milestone and stated that it can now be installed by the growing list of EPC’s, distributors, and solar integrators.
