VinFast signs MoUs with 14 dealers in the Philippines, claiming rapid network expansion ahead of its June 2026 e-scooter launch, with plans for showrooms and battery-swapping infrastructure nationwide.
VinFast on April 18, 2026, said it has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with 14 e-scooter dealers in the Philippines, claiming the move will help it rapidly scale its retail and service network ahead of its planned June 2026 product launch.
According to the company, the partnerships include established motorcycle distributors such as Wheeltek Motor Sales Corporation, Motoxpress Sales Corporation, and Motorpro by Abenson Ventures, which bring strong dealer networks and operational experience in the local market.
The company said it will work with these partners to roll out showrooms across key urban regions including Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas. Many outlets are expected to be operational at the time of launch, which, it claims, will support both sales and after-sales services from the outset.
According to VinFast, the initial product portfolio will include swappable-battery e-scooters such as Evo, Feliz II, and Viper, along with upcoming models adapted to local infrastructure and usage conditions.
The company said it is targeting the Philippines as one of Southeast Asia’s largest motorcycle markets, where rising fuel prices and urbanisation are driving demand for alternative mobility solutions.
VinFast further said it aims to build a comprehensive electric mobility ecosystem in the country, covering distribution, servicing, financing, and energy infrastructure. It also claims it plans to deploy around 30,000 battery-swapping stations nationwide in collaboration with partners to improve convenience and reduce charging time.
The expansion, according to the company, is part of its broader 2026 strategy to grow across markets including India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia.
