Weston to set up mobile cell manufacturing unit in Dehradun

Weston, the consumer electronics brand, has announced its entry into the Rs 70 billion cellular phone market. At first, Weston will launch its mobiles in North-East India where the company has a strong presence and they will subsequently be launched in the rest of India. A new unit for mobile phones will be set up in Sela Que in Dehra Dun, Uttranchal with capacity of 500,000 GSM and CDMA cell phones per month . The plant will start production in 2011 .
