The company plans to increase the network to over 550 dealerships by FY27.
Zelio E-Mobility has recently launched a new manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The company has started production expansion in South India. By launching its new facility, Zelio E-Mobility is expanding its total installed manufacturing capacity by 33% to 240,000 electric two-wheelers annually.
This 39,000 sq. ft. facility, based on Trichy Road, Coimbatore. The plant will serve key southern markets, including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and South Maharashtra.
The facility has an installed production and assembly capacity of 60,000 units per year. During the initial phase, it is expected to manufacture between 24,000 and 30,000 electric two-wheelers annually, with output increasing as demand grows.
The establishment cost around ₹1 crore. The plant currently employs 30 workers and is expected to add more than 100 personnel over the coming months. The expansion aligns with the company’s plan to exceed 500 employees during the current financial year.

South India represents one of the most promising electric mobility markets in the country, and this expansion strengthens our ability to serve customers, dealers, and partners with greater speed and efficiency,” said Kunal Arya, Managing Director of Zelio E-Mobility.
The new facility joins the company’s existing manufacturing plants in Haryana and Odisha. Before the Coimbatore unit became operational, Zelio E-Mobility’s combined manufacturing capacity stood at 180,000 units annually. With the latest addition, the company can now produce up to 240,000 units per year.
This new plant will follow the same manufacturing and quality standards as its other facilities. It is expected to strengthen dealer reach, improve after-sales support, and enhance supply chain efficiency across southern India over the next two years.
The expansion comes amid strong business growth for Zelio E-Mobility. The company reported an 81.8% year-on-year increase in revenue to ₹313.68 crore in FY2025-26 and has remained profitable since its inception. Following its BSE SME listing in October 2025, which raised ₹78.34 crore, the company has continued to expand its manufacturing network and dealer base, which currently exceeds 400 dealerships across more than 25 states, with plans to increase the network to over 550 dealerships by FY27.
