February 5, 2015: Rubycon India launched the LSU-SM series. It is a product equipped with a stud at the bottom of the case of the capacitor. These screw type aluminium capacitors have 85°C 5000-hour life. The stud makes it easy to mount compared with the normal bracket method, and minimises the area required. It also ensures efficient heat dissipation leading to high ripple capability. This series is best suited for use in PV inverters or wind mill power generation applications that require high voltage, high capacitance and high ripple current capability.
For a greater variety of applications, the company has another series of screw type capacitors called the LSQ series, with 85º C 3000-hour life; the LSW series, with 105º C 3000-hour life; and the LSG series, with 105º C 5000-hour life. The following specs sum up the series: size Φ51×98L to Φ90×241L, temperature: -25º to +85º C, rated voltage: 350 to 500V DC, capacitance: 1200 to 18000μF and life time of 5000 hours.
