In February 2014, Kusam-Meco launched the KM-088, a new AC/DC true RMS clamp meter. It has a backlight function, Max/Min/AVG recording mode (auto ranging), and a flashlight for easy operation in dim areas. Its unique AmpTip function allows users to keep the current-carrying conductor at the top end of the clamp meter and get accurate measurements. The conductor size is up to 51 mm in diameter. The KM-088 also has the VFD-V and Hz functions specially designed for variable frequency drives. It can measure TRMS 1000A AC current up to a frequency of 400 Hz, DC current up to 1000A, TRMS AC voltage 1000V up to 400Hz frequency, DC 1000 Volts, capacitance up to 2500 µF, AC+DC current of 1000A up to 400 Hz frequency, continuity, resistance, and diode test upto 2.000V.
