In May 2014, Vishay Intertechnology introduced its surface-mount, four-terminal power metal strip  current sensing resistors in the compact 2726 and 4026 case sizes to provide an operating temperature range of -65ºÂ C up to +275 °C. The Vishay Dale WSLT2726 and WSLT4026 combine their high-temperature performance with 3 W power ratings and extremely low resistance values down to 0.002 Î. They incorporate a solid metal nickel-chrome alloy resistive element with low TCR (< 20 ppm/°C). This results in high-power resistors that offer an operating temperature range of -65 °C to +275 °C while maintaining the superior electrical characteristics of the power metal strip construction. The resistors are ideal for all types of current sensing, voltage division and pulse applications.
