ETO Motors is a 360-degree electric mobility solutions company with the aim to contribute towards the upliftment of society by focusing on three Es: Environment, Employment, and Empowerment.

ETO Motors is an electric vehicle manufacturing company that designs, develops, and manufactures electric three-wheelers for the passenger and cargo segments. The company has three verticals, including the manufacturing of three-wheelers, electric vehicle charging, and providing last-mile mobility services to companies such as Amazon, Flipkart, Big Basket, and others. ETO offers two models of modular three-wheelers, called Trilux and Bulke Plus, which provide different sizes of cargo boxes that can be retrofitted according to customer requirements.
What sets ETO Motors apart from other automotive companies is its goal to empower women and design driver-centric vehicles. Karthik S. Ponnapula, Director of ETO Motors, explains, ìOur USP is that our vehicles are designed and developed as EVs, rather than converting a traditional IC three-wheeler into an electric vehicle.î To enhance the comfort, safety, and ease of driving these cargo vehicles, the company has added rear backup cameras, bucket seats, and seat belts, and utilises high-strength materials to improve vehicle robustness and safety.

ETO Motors has trained hundreds of young unemployed women to drive electric autos in the 100% electric mobility city of Kevadia in Gujarat. The company has deployed over 300 electric autos at metro stations in Delhi, all driven by women who provide last-mile connectivity services to commuters using the metro service. Dr Karthik adds, ìThe women-led passenger electric vehicles in the Statue of Unity and DMRC have been a very successful business model for us. But aside from that, the key was giving local women the opportunity to take charge of their own homes and lives.
ETO Motors is also collaborating with Germanyís Quantron to develop retro-fitment kits for trucks, allowing truckers to convert IC engine trucks into electric trucks. The company plans to leverage Quantronís expertise in designing retro-fitment kits and develop similar kits for the Indian market, tailored to Indian pricing, licensing, and approvals. Vikram Sinha, Head of Manufacturing at ETO Motors, explains that retrofitting trucks with EV powertrains at the end of their conventional truck lifecycle can save truck owners from major repairs and expenses.
In conclusion, ETO Motors is a leading innovator in the three-wheeler EV manufacturing industry, driving inclusivity and sustainability. By actively employing women drivers and producing cutting-edge electric vehicles, they are revolutionising both the automotive industry and societal norms. As we strive for a more sustainable future, ETO Motors serves as an inspiring example, showcasing the possibilities that arise when diversity and innovation converge.
