AMD To Unveil AI Technology And In-Vehicle Innovations At CES 2024

The Versal AI Edge XA adaptive SoC and Ryzen Embedded V2000A Series processor, targeting crucial automotive areas like infotainment, advanced driver safety, and autonomous driving, are being developed in collaboration with an expanding network of automotive partners.

AMD is set to highlight its automotive innovations at CES 2024 in Las Vegas from January 9-11. The event will see the introduction of the Versal AI Edge XA adaptive SoC and Ryzen Embedded V2000A Series processor, which is aimed at enhancing key automotive segments such as infotainment, driver safety, and autonomous driving. Located at LVCC West Hall #W319, AMD’s booth will feature these new advancements.

The Versal AI Edge XA adaptive SoCs incorporate an advanced AI Engine to optimize various next-gen automotive systems and applications, including forward cameras, in-cabin monitoring, and autonomous driving technologies. These SoCs, being the first AMD 7nm auto-qualified devices, offer enhanced safety and security for automotive applications.

The Ryzen Embedded V2000A Series processors are set to revolutionize automotive digital cockpits, powering everything from infotainment systems to passenger displays. These processors, notable for being the first x86 auto-qualified family, bring a PC-like experience to automotive entertainment.

Salil Raje, senior vice-president and general manager at AMD, emphasizes the growth potential in the automotive market and the synergy since Xilinx’s acquisition. He looks forward to showcasing AMD’s collaborative achievements in advancing the automotive industry at CES 2024.
