Enablence Technologies has signed a collaboration agreement with Polar Semiconductor. This partnership aims to co-develop and manufacture advanced optical semiconductors, catering to prominent transceiver firms.

Enablence has invested much in indispensable tool sets, including etching, lithography, and deposition process technologies. These investments are strategically aimed at ramping up the production of planar lightwave circuits (PLCs).

PLCs have a number of benefits, like- cost-effectiveness, lower power consumption, and high capacity for wavelength-division multiplexing systems, making them highly sought after in the market. Enablence will achieve Polar Semiconductor’s high-quality production processes and capacity, crucial for its anticipated product development in datacom, telecom, LiDAR, and industrial automation sectors.
