Iveco Bus, ZF Team Up On Advanced E-Mobility

The partnership with ZF will bolster Iveco Bus’ comprehensive strategy for electrification by developing a new architecture designed from the ground up for zero emissions. This will enhance the technological capabilities of the next generation of vehicles.

Iveco Bus, a brand of the Iveco Group specialising in urban, intercity, and tourist buses, has teamed up with ZF, a leading global provider of advanced mobility products and systems for various vehicles and industrial technology. They chose the IAA Transportation event in Hannover, Germany, as the platform to enhance their partnership aimed at implementing cutting-edge e-mobility solutions to help decarbonize passenger transport.

Both companies affirm their shared dedication to transforming the transport sector and spearheading a shift toward a more sustainable future by leveraging their extensive technological expertise in alternative energy propulsion, particularly electrification.

This commercial alliance with ZF will bolster Iveco Bus’ extensive electrification strategy and assist in developing a groundbreaking zero-emission architecture. This new framework is designed to support the next generation of vehicles and augment their technological capabilities.

Domenico Nucera, President of the Bus Business Unit at Iveco Group, emphasized the significance of their new partnership, highlighting it as a reflection of their dedication to collaborating with pioneers in innovation to push the boundaries of technology in support of the energy transition. He pointed out that electrification plays a key role in meeting the decarbonization targets of the bus industry, and by reinforcing their relationship with ZF, they aim to accelerate the development of their next-generation e-mobility solutions.
