Allegro MicroSystems Launches R&D Unit In Hyderabad

While expanding its workforce to 500 professionals, Allegro MicroSystems inaugurates an R&D centre in Hyderabad, focusing on EV, automation, and clean energy solutions.

On Friday, US-based company Allegro MicroSystems announced the establishment of a new research and development (R&D) facility in Hyderabad. The magnetic sensing and power integrated circuit (IC) solutions provider has hired nearly 100 highly skilled professionals in the unit and intends to expand its workforce to 500 shortly.

According to the firm, the R&D centre in Hyderabad will serve as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) focused on analogue and mixed-signal design, verification, and validation for the electric vehicle (EV), automotive, and robotic automation sectors.

Looking at this initiative as a part of their global innovation strategy, Allegro MicroSystems’ CEO, Vineet Nargolwala, applauded Hyderabad’s talent, supportive government policies, and location, emphasising the city’s role in advancing India’s semiconductor goals. The facility will focus on advancing e-mobility, clean energy, and automation solutions.

Duddila Sridhar Babu, Telangana’s IT minister, highlighted the state’s commitment to building a self-sustaining semiconductor ecosystem and welcomed Allegro’s efforts as partners in this transformative effort.
