Delta Electronics Partners With ThunderPlus For  EV Charging Solutions

Under the agreement, Delta will supply its 4kW rectifier modules, featuring an energy efficiency of up to 93%.

Delta Electronics India has announced a significant partnership with ThunderPlus, a leading provider of two-wheeler (2W) and three-wheeler (3W) electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions. The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), aims to bolster India’s growing EV ecosystem with advanced, locally produced technologies.

Under the agreement, Delta will supply its 4kW rectifier modules. These modules are manufactured at Delta’s cutting-edge facility in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, underscoring the company’s commitment to “Make in India.” The rectifiers will power ThunderPlus’ fast chargers, specifically designed to cater to the low-voltage market for 2W and 3W EVs.

Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director of Delta Electronics India, emphasized the strategic importance of the collaboration. “Delta’s mission is to provide innovative, clean, and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow. Our partnership with ThunderPlus aligns perfectly with our goal of enabling India’s EV transition through locally manufactured, cutting-edge solutions,” he said. He also highlighted the role of Delta’s robust R&D and manufacturing capabilities in driving this milestone achievement.

Manjula Girish, Business Head – EV Charging Infrastructure at Delta, added, “Our 4kW rectifiers reflect Delta’s dedication to innovation and sustainability. ThunderPlus’ decision to integrate our technology validates the performance and value we bring to the EV ecosystem.”

This collaboration integrates Delta’s technological expertise with ThunderPlus’ market leadership, addressing India’s unique charging needs. The co-branded chargers promise to alleviate range anxiety, minimize downtime, and meet global standards while being tailored for the local market. With India’s EV sector expanding rapidly, this partnership sets a new benchmark in innovation and sustainability, paving the way for a robust and reliable charging infrastructure.
