ASM Technologies To Pump Rs 2.5 Billion Into Tamil Nadu Electronics Manufacturing

ASM Technologies is set to invest ₹2.5 billion in Tamil Nadu, boosting its design-led electronics and precision engineering capabilities while strengthening India’s ESDM ecosystem.

ASM Technologies Limited will invest ₹2.5 billion in Tamil Nadu to expand its design-led manufacturing in the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector. The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Guidance, Government of Tamil Nadu, under which it will acquire 5 acres of land to set up a state-of-the-art design facility.

The investment aims to strengthen ASM’s presence in Tamil Nadu’s growing technology manufacturing ecosystem, enhance precision engineering and ESDM-related capabilities, and expand design capabilities and product offerings across electronics, solar, and semiconductor sectors.

ASM Technologies currently operates two advanced manufacturing facilities at Dabaspet, Karnataka and Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, serving as centres of excellence for multiple industry verticals.

“With this ₹250 crore investment, we are expanding our design-led manufacturing capabilities in the ESDM sector, strengthening our expertise in precision engineering for electronics, solar industries and semi. This expansion underscores our commitment to innovation, global competitiveness and scaling our operations to meet the evolving demands of our customers. We thank Guidance, Government of Tamil Nadu, for their support in enabling this growth.”
