Quintauris, Everspin Partner On Automotive RISC-V Platforms

Aiming for safer, high-performance memory in critical applications, Quintauris and Everspin join forces to integrate advanced MRAM into RISC-V platforms.

Quintauris, a provider of RISC-V (Reduced Instruction Set Computing – V) based products, has announced a collaboration with Everspin Technologies to integrate advanced memory solutions into its ecosystem. The partnership targets automotive, industrial, and edge applications, with a focus on reliability and safety.

Everspin specialises in magnetoresistive random-access memory (MRAM) and spin-transfer torque MRAM (STT-MRAM). The collaboration aims to develop memory subsystems that support data persistence, integrity, low latency, and security. By combining Everspin’s MRAM technologies with Quintauris’ reference architectures and real-time platforms, the partnership seeks to meet performance and functional safety requirements for safety-critical applications.

“Everspin’s leadership in MRAM and their track record of over 200 million products deployed make them a strong addition to our ecosystem,” said Pedro Lopez, Market Strategy Officer at Quintauris.

“Together, we are closing the gap between innovation and dependability, enabling RISC-V to be confidently adopted in next-generation automotive programmes,” he said.

David Schrenk, Vice President of Business Development at Everspin Technologies, said, “RISC-V is opening new doors in safety-critical computing, but it also demands memory that can match its performance and reliability. By integrating our MRAM into the Quintauris platform, we are helping developers build systems that retain data integrity under power loss, radiation, or extreme temperatures.”

Founded in 2023 by semiconductor companies including Bosch, Infineon, Nordic Semiconductor, NXP, Qualcomm, and STMicroelectronics, Quintauris develops profiles, reference architectures, and software components to support wider adoption of RISC-V globally.

Everspin, headquartered in Chandler, Arizona, provides high-performance, non-volatile MRAM solutions for industrial Internet of Things (IoT), data centres, and other mission-critical applications.
