TCS And AMD Collaborate To Scale Enterprise AI

With enterprises struggling to scale AI, TCS and AMD are joining forces to move deployments beyond pilots by combining industry expertise with high-performance computing platforms.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and AMD have announced a partnership to help enterprises scale artificial intelligence (AI) from pilot projects to full production deployments. The partnership was disclosed on 14 January 2026.

The two companies said they will work together to co-develop industry-specific AI and generative AI solutions. The effort combines TCS’s domain expertise, systems integration capabilities and global innovation network with AMD’s high-performance computing and AI product portfolio.

The stated focus areas include modernising legacy IT environments, strengthening hybrid cloud and edge deployments, and enabling secure digital workplaces.

According to the companies, the collaboration will support AI use cases across sectors such as life sciences, manufacturing and banking and financial services. These include drug discovery, cognitive quality engineering, smart manufacturing and intelligent risk management. TCS and AMD also plan to develop accelerators, frameworks and best practices to improve performance across AI training and inference workloads.

As part of the arrangement, TCS will upskill and certify its workforce on AMD hardware and software platforms. The companies said they also intend to invest jointly in building a pool of specialised talent to support co-innovation and delivery of AI solutions.

“AI adoption is accelerating, and unlocking its potential requires a new scale of high-performance computing and deep collaboration across the industry,” said Dr Lisa Su, chair and chief executive officer of AMD. “Through our work with TCS, we are helping customers translate AI innovation into new growth opportunities across industries.”

K Krithivasan, CEO and Managing Director of TCS, said the collaboration is intended to help enterprises move beyond experimentation. “By combining TCS’s deep industry expertise with AMD’s high-performance computing capabilities, we are enabling organisations to move from AI experimentation to AI at scale and deployment,” he said.

On the technology front, TCS will integrate AMD Ryzen CPU-powered client systems for workplace transformation. It will also use AMD EPYC CPUs, Instinct GPUs and AI accelerators to modernise hybrid cloud and high-performance computing environments.

AMD’s embedded computing portfolio, including adaptive system-on-chips and field programmable gate arrays, will be used to support Edge AI, inference and industrial digitalisation.

Both companies said the partnership is designed to help enterprises adapt their IT and operating models to the growing role of AI.
