Aimtron Acquires US-Based ICS To Expand ESDM Presence Globally

Strengthening its US presence, Aimtron Electronics acquires ICS to boost mission-critical design, manufacturing and OEM partnerships, adding scale, capability and global reach.

Aimtron facility

Aimtron Electronics Limited has acquired ICS Company, a US-based electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM) and original design manufacturing (ODM) firm. The acquisition strengthens Aimtron’s footprint in North America and enhances its capabilities in mission-critical electronics. Based on calendar-year 2025 estimates, the acquired business is expected to add approximately US$17 million in annual revenue.

Aimtron plans to consolidate these revenues from the fourth quarter of FY26. The company expects the acquired operations to scale to approximately US$25 million in revenue within three years.

ICS brings experienced engineering teams, proprietary intellectual property and long-standing relationships with global original equipment manufacturers. Its customer base includes leading names such as Caterpillar and John Deere, operating across industrial and high-reliability segments.

The deal deepens Aimtron’s engagement with global OEMs building complex, mission-critical products.

Aimtron’s US facility currently operates at about 54 per cent capacity utilisation. The company aims to raise these levels to nearly 90 per cent over the next three years through better procurement, operating leverage and targeted capacity investments.

The transaction has been assessed on both trailing and forward-looking financials. Aimtron said the acquisition is expected to be margin- and earnings-accretive from the first year, while remaining aligned with its return on equity and capital employed benchmarks.

Mukesh Jeram Vasani, Founder of Aimtron Electronics, said the acquisition represents a decisive move in the company’s global journey.

“With scalable infrastructure, strong regional opportunity, and a highly capable team, this integration accelerates our move toward a truly full-stack ESDM platform and reinforces our ambition to build a global electronics powerhouse,” he said.

ICS operates a 58,000 sq ft manufacturing facility spread across nearly four acres in Decatur. The site is located within a mature industrial ecosystem and serves sectors such as agrotech, oil and gas, mining, heavy engineering, hardened electronics and medical technology.

Dennis Espinoza, Founder and Chief Executive of ICS, said the integration with Aimtron will allow the company to offer broader end-to-end solutions while continuing to serve its existing customers.

“By aligning our deep-rooted Midwest engineering focus with Aimtron’s global resources and manufacturing scale, we can now offer our long-standing customers even more comprehensive end-to-end solutions,” he noted.

Nirmal Vasani, Chief Operating Officer of Aimtron, said the deal reflects the company’s ‘glocal’ strategy, combining US engineering depth with India’s manufacturing scale. He noted that the acquisition supports Aimtron’s ambition to reach ₹10 billion in revenue over the next three years.

The acquisition follows Aimtron’s recent incorporation of Aimtron Mechatronics in Gujarat and a ₹1 billion fundraising, reinforcing its long-term global growth plans.
