NVIDIA CoreWeave Expand Collaboration To Scale AI Factory Infrastructure

NVIDIA also invests $2 billion in CoreWeave, backing its cloud platform built on NVIDIA infrastructure and growth strategy.

NVIDIA and CoreWeave, Inc. have announced an expansion of their long standing collaboration to accelerate the buildout of large scale AI factories, targeting more than five gigawatts of capacity by 2030 to support global AI adoption.

As part of the expanded relationship, NVIDIA has invested $2 billion in CoreWeave through the purchase of Class A common stock at $87.20 per share. The investment signals NVIDIA’s confidence in CoreWeave’s cloud platform, leadership team, and long term growth strategy built around NVIDIA accelerated computing infrastructure.

The companies said the partnership responds to rapidly growing demand for AI compute, as organisations scale training, inference, and production workloads. Under the agreement, CoreWeave will develop and operate AI factories using NVIDIA’s accelerated computing platforms to meet customer demand at scale. NVIDIA will also leverage its financial strength to help CoreWeave accelerate procurement of land, power, and physical infrastructure required to build new facilities.

The collaboration includes deeper alignment across infrastructure, software, and platforms. NVIDIA will test and validate CoreWeave’s AI native software and reference architectures, including SUNK and CoreWeave Mission Control, with the goal of improving interoperability and potentially incorporating them into NVIDIA reference architectures for cloud partners and enterprise customers.

CoreWeave will deploy multiple generations of NVIDIA technology across its platform, including early adoption of upcoming computing architectures such as the NVIDIA Rubin platform, NVIDIA Vera CPUs, and NVIDIA BlueField storage systems.

NVIDIA founder and chief executive Jensen Huang said AI is driving the largest infrastructure buildout in history, while CoreWeave chief executive Michael Intrator said the expanded collaboration reflects strong customer demand as AI systems move into large scale production.
