Netradyne Joins Hands With NHEV to Transform Electric Mobility Industry

For fleet operators and financiers, the collaboration aims to strengthen confidence in long-distance EV adoption

Netradyne has announced plans to provide the intelligence and safety layer for the National Highways for Electric Vehicles (NHEV) programme as India accelerates the development of its Electronic Highway (E-Highway) network.

The initiative marks a significant step towards creating a more connected, safer and operationally reliable long-distance electric mobility ecosystem. Under the programme, Netradyne’s AI-powered technology will be deployed in phases across commercial vehicles operating on NHEV-supported corridors, enabling real-time fleet visibility, predictive risk detection, driver behaviour insights and operational monitoring.

The collaboration builds on earlier pilot projects and represents a move towards a fully integrated, technology-enabled highway infrastructure designed to support the growing adoption of commercial electric vehicles (EVs).

NHEV is leading efforts to transform India’s highways into Electronic Highways capable of supporting connected and dependable electric mobility at scale. The programme plans to expand across 26 highway corridors by 2027 through an integrated framework that combines charging infrastructure, energy management, digital systems, financing support and operational services.

As part of this framework, Netradyne’s AI platform will provide a critical intelligence layer through driver behaviour analytics, vehicle monitoring and corridor-level operational oversight for commercial EV fleets travelling on NHEV-enabled routes.

“The world has seen what broken supply chains and oil shocks can do to an economy. NHEV E-Highways are India’s preparedness-driven economic lifeline, ensuring that the movement of essential goods never stops — whether during peacetime, lockdowns, or geopolitical oil crises impacting global supply chains,” said Abhijeet Sinha, Program Director, NHEV.

Sinha added that India’s E-Highway vision extends beyond charging infrastructure to creating a connected and trusted mobility ecosystem that improves driver safety, reduces accidents, enables predictive risk detection and strengthens operational reliability for freight operators.

Commenting on the partnership, Durgadutt Nedungadi, Senior Vice President, EMEA & APAC Business, Netradyne, said, “Being part of NHEV’s Electronic Highway initiative reflects the scale at which AI-driven mobility infrastructure is evolving in India. Our role is to provide real-time intelligence that improves driver safety, fleet visibility and operational responsiveness across these E-Highways.”

According to the companies, the initiative is also expected to support the development of policy recommendations through real-world validation and implementation. These recommendations will contribute to broader connected mobility priorities, including the Prime Minister’s Office vision for an Apex Transport Authority and greater convergence between transport, telecom and digital infrastructure.

For fleet operators and financiers, the collaboration aims to strengthen confidence in long-distance EV adoption by improving safety, fleet uptime, operational visibility and asset reliability. By combining NHEV’s integrated highway infrastructure with Netradyne’s AI-driven safety intelligence, the partners seek to create a commercial EV ecosystem that is scalable, bankable, profitable and sustainable.
