Neura Robotics Raises $1.4 Billion for Expansion

Betting on the future of physical AI, major technology and industrial investors have backed a $1.4 billion funding round for robotics developer Neura.

German robotics company Neura Robotics has raised $1.4 billion in a Series C funding round backed by a group of technology and industrial investors, including NVIDIA, Amazon, Bosch and Qualcomm. The funding will be used to accelerate the development, production and deployment of humanoid and industrial robots.

According to the company, the new capital will support plans to scale manufacturing capacity and achieve serial production of millions of robots by 2030. It will also fund the international rollout of Neura Gyms, training environments designed to advance cognitive robotics and physical artificial intelligence applications.

The investment will further support the growth of the Neuraverse, a shared intelligence platform through which robots can exchange skills, operational knowledge and learned capabilities across different deployments. Neura stated that its current order book and deployment pipeline exceed $1 billion in value.

The funding round reflects growing investor interest in robotics and physical AI technologies. Market research firm PitchBook reported that the sector attracted $27.6 billion across 1009 deals in the previous year, driven largely by industrial and defence-related demand. Earlier this year, Pittsburgh-based Skild AI also raised $1.4 billion in a Series C round.

Founded in 2019, Neura develops robots designed to work alongside human operators in industrial settings. Its portfolio includes robotic arms, quadruped robots, mobile platforms and humanoid systems used for tasks such as quality inspection, palletising and welding.

The company has recently entered partnerships with Dassault Systèmes, Amazon Web Services and Bosch to integrate robotics technologies into manufacturing and warehouse operations.

Other participants in the funding round included Tether, imec.xpand, Schaeffler, European Investment Bank, Lingotto Horizon and InterAlpen Partners. Financial contributions from individual investors were not disclosed.
