Union minister Piyush Goyal held several engagements with the European industry leadership in Brussels on trade and industrial cooperation, technology collaboration and investment opportunities between India and EU.
Union minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal held a series of meetings with top industry leaders from Europe in Brussels during July 14-15, 2026 in an endeavor to further enhance the India-EU trade, technology and industrial cooperation, a release from the Press Information Bureau (PIB) said.
On July 14, Goyal engaged with the Chief Executive Officer of Thales Belgium, Alain Quevrin and discussed the scope of cooperation in manufacturing, explore technology partnerships. He also had a meeting with Jean Christophe Bogaert, Managing Director, Silox Group to enhance bilateral trade opportunities and deepen industrial cooperation, the release stated.
On July 15, Goyal along with the Minister for External Affairs and Minister of State for Electronics & IT attended a business round table hosted by Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (FEB) which focused on trade facilitation, investment flows, supply chain resilience and digital innovation and brought together leading representatives from both Indian and European industries.
Later, Goyal interacted with the FICCI delegation, which discussed ways to enhance competitiveness, mitigate regulatory hurdles and leveraging the India-EU Trade & Technology Council (TTC) framework, the PIB release further informed.
The Minister emphasized on India’s resolve to support the Indian industry in enhancing market access in Europe and establish innovation-driven partnerships, the PIB release added. The engagements reaffirmed India’s commitment to an industry-led growth strategy and its cooperative ties with European partners in technology, manufacturing and trade.
