TYLsemi Raises $43 Million to Advance Chiplet-Based AI Infrastructure

The company claims to be the first chiplet platform provider to offer a complete portfolio

TYLsemi, a chiplet platform startup focused on AI infrastructure, has emerged from stealth with an oversubscribed $43 million early-stage funding round to accelerate the development of chiplet-based AI silicon solutions. The round was led by Matter Venture Partners, with participation from Viola Ventures, GHOVC, Egis Technology, and several strategic investors from the global semiconductor and AI infrastructure ecosystem.

Founded by semiconductor industry veterans Mohit Gupta and Sunil Bhardwaj, TYLsemi aims to simplify the development of AI accelerators through a standards-based chiplet platform spanning connectivity, power delivery, memory, and custom silicon integration. The founders have previously held leadership positions at Alphawave, SiFive, Cadence Design Systems, Rambus, and other semiconductor companies.

The company claims to be the first chiplet platform provider to offer a complete portfolio covering IO, power delivery, memory connectivity, and end-to-end custom silicon design and integration. Its platform is designed to help AI infrastructure developers reduce development time and risk by leveraging reusable, production-ready chiplets and UCIe-based die-to-die connectivity.

“As AI accelerator demand continues to grow, chiplet-based design has become essential for scaling performance,” said Mohit Gupta, Founder and CEO of TYLsemi. He added that the company’s standards-based chiplet portfolio and integration platform provide customers with a faster path from AI silicon architecture to deployment.

TYLsemi’s product portfolio includes TYL.IO, a family of connectivity chiplets supporting PCIe, ESUN, and UALink interfaces with a roadmap for co-packaged optics; TYL.Power, an integrated voltage regulator chiplet for intelligent in-package power delivery; TYL.Mem, a planned family of memory connectivity chiplets; and TYL.Forge, an end-to-end custom silicon platform that combines TYLsemi’s chiplets with foundry, packaging, and production services.

The company believes the semiconductor industry is transitioning from monolithic chips to modular, multi-die architectures as AI workloads demand greater computing performance, bandwidth, and power efficiency. Standardised interconnect technologies such as UCIe and advances in advanced packaging are expected to accelerate this shift.

According to TYLsemi, samples of its TYL.IO and TYL.Power chiplets will be available to qualified customers in 2027 through its partnership with TSMC, while the company is already engaging lead customers for its TYL.Forge custom silicon platform.
