SemiQ Partners With Ibérica to Supercharge European Power Electronics Market

Strategic Distribution Deal Expands Silicon Carbide Reach and Engineering Support Across Europe.

SemiQ Inc. has joined forces with Spanish power electronics specialist Ibérica Semiconductores de Potencia to broaden its commercial reach and technical support across Europe. Under this agreement, Madrid-based Ibérica gains access to SemiQ’s complete portfolio of silicon carbide (SiC) modules, discrete components, and bare-die products. Beyond spearheading market growth in Spain, Ibérica will deliver direct design and application assistance to power system developers across the continent.

This expansion aligns with the rapid surge in demand for SiC-based power electronics, driven by the electrification of industrial and transport sectors, the efficiency demands of data centres, and the swift scaling of renewable energy infrastructure. SemiQ’s rugged semiconductor technologies naturally complement Ibérica’s established focus on renewable generation, transport, and heavy industry.

SemiQ President Dr Timothy Han noted that Ibérica’s deep sector experience will provide European customers with vital support when adopting high-reliability SiC technologies. Ignacio Salido de Miguel, Managing Director at Ibérica, added that integrating SemiQ’s MOSFETs and modules helps clients accelerate innovation across high-power markets crucial to meeting Europe’s net-zero objectives.

Customers can access technical support and purchase SemiQ products directly via ibersp.com.

As an organisation, SemiQ delivers standard and custom SiC semiconductors—including MOSFETs and diodes—backed by over ten years of engineering experience across solar, electric vehicle charging, medical, and energy storage sectors. Meanwhile, Ibérica Semiconductores de Potencia brings more than two decades of expertise as a technical partner and distributor, assisting engineering teams through every phase from component selection to volume production.
