TASKING, dSPACE Join Forces for Defence Software

TASKING’s acquisition of LDRA in 2025 further strengthened its capabilities in software verification, testing, and traceability.

TASKING India has recently signed an agreement with dSPACE India Solutions to help the development, testing, verification, validation, and simulation of safety- and mission-critical software for India’s growing aerospace and defence sector.

The collaboration, announced at ESSS 2026 in Bengaluru, combines TASKING’s software development toolchain—including compilers, debuggers, and unit-testing solutions—with dSPACE’s expertise in model-based development, simulation, automated testing, code generation, middleware, and continuous software validation through Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments.

Through this partnership, they will offer aerospace and defence organisations an integrated engineering workflow spanning software development and validation. The companies expect the approach to help address increasing software complexity while improving software quality, reducing development risks, and supporting stringent safety, certification, and compliance requirements.

Meanwhile, dSPACE brings more than two decades of experience supporting aerospace and defence programmes globally, including commercial aviation, defence, and space applications.

The companies said the collaboration comes as India accelerates efforts to develop indigenous aerospace and defence capabilities under initiatives such as Atmanirbhar Bharat, creating greater demand for advanced engineering and validation environments.

“The partnership would bring together globally proven technologies and expertise to help Indian organisations develop and certify safety-critical software with greater confidence”, said Andreas Gau, CEO and Managing Director, dSPACE India Solutions.

Suresh Kamate, General Manager, Aerospace & Defence Business, dSPACE India Solutions, said the integrated workflow could help organisations improve engineering efficiency while reducing certification effort and time-to-approval.

Christoph Herzog, Co-CEO and CTO, TASKING, said the collaboration would combine TASKING’s software development and verification capabilities with dSPACE’s simulation and validation expertise to support next-generation mission-critical applications in India.
