Former IIT scholar to spearhead clean-energy innovations across solar, storage, and green hydrogen infrastructure.
India’s leading renewable energy conglomerate, Waaree Group, has announced the appointment of Dr Aman Jha as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The move is set to reinforce the company’s technology leadership as it aggressively expands its footprint across solar manufacturing, battery energy storage systems (BESS), green hydrogen, and integrated clean-energy infrastructure.
Dr Jha brings an outstanding technical and academic pedigree to the role, specialising in power electronics, electric machine drives, and complex energy systems. He holds a PhD in Power Electronics and Electric Machine Drives from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, alongside a Master of Technology (MTech) in Power Electronics and Energy Systems from IIT Bombay. His expertise combines deep engineering research with a practical focus on commercialising next-generation energy technologies.
The appointment comes at a crucial juncture for Waaree Group as the renewable energy sector shifts towards integrated, multi-vector clean-energy solutions. As energy firms navigate the transition from standalone generation to complex storage networks and green hydrogen production, robust technological direction is essential for enhancing system efficiency, driving innovation, and accelerating deployment at scale.
In his new position, Dr Jha will oversee Waaree’s overarching technology roadmap, focusing on core areas such as advanced solar technology, power electronics, energy systems integration, and battery storage solutions. His leadership is expected to be instrumental in delivering scalable, future-ready technologies that support the company’s long-term sustainability and growth strategy.
