Chinese electronics manufacturer responds to ITC probe into power delivery technology, confirming affected products are not in mass production.
Major Apple supplier Luxshare Precision Industry expects minimal disruption to its business operations following the launch of a patent infringement investigation by the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
The Section 337 probe, initiated on 9 October following a complaint by US firm Vicor Corp, targets Luxshare and its subsidiary, Dongguan Luxshare Technology. The inquiry focuses on vertical power delivery systems, related components, and computing systems containing the technology, which are designed for data centre power modules and supply solutions.
In a filing released late on Saturday, the Chinese electronics manufacturer stressed that the investigation remains at a preliminary stage with no substantive findings made by the ITC. Furthermore, as the affected products have not yet entered mass production, Luxshare stated that the probe is unlikely to have a material adverse impact on its day-to-day operations or near-term financial performance.
Luxshare confirmed it is reviewing the patents and products in question while assembling technical, legal, and commercial teams to mount a defence. The company added that it will work closely with clients and supply chain partners to safeguard the interests of both the business and its shareholders.
