The partnership aims to combine Dixon’s manufacturing capabilities with Gemtek’s expertise
India’s Dixon Technologies has partnered with Taiwan-based Gemtek Technology to strengthen telecom manufacturing in India through a joint venture (JV) agreement signed on October 7, 2026.
The JV will operate through Dixon Electroconnect Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dixon Technologies. Upon completion of the transaction, Dixon will hold a 60% stake in the venture, while Gemtek will own the remaining 40%. Neither company will acquire a direct stake in the other, according to Dixon’s regulatory filing.
The venture will manufacture Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) optical transceivers, Bidirectional Optical Subassembly (BOSA) products, and other telecom products mutually agreed upon by both companies.
The partnership aims to combine Dixon’s manufacturing capabilities with Gemtek’s expertise in high-speed optical modules and networking technologies to expand telecom product manufacturing in India.
