L K Gupta, vice president and chief marketing officer at LG Electronics India has stepped down from his current role. Gupta had a stint of five years in the company and has decided to move on for reasons unknown so far. He joined the company in 2007.
Commenting on his decision, Gupta said, “After five years of super experience, I am leaving the company with a heavy heart. December is the last month for my services at LG Electronics.” Gupta is currently serving a notice period in the company. He refrained to share the details about his future plans. At LG, Gupta’s profile included overseeing the brand and marketing strategy, conceptualisation and implementation at company level and by all business units. His responsibilities also included managing teams and initiatives such as brand campaigns, sports sponsorships, digital marketing, CRM, consumer and business research, media planning and buying, agency relations and ground level marketing activation at branches.
Gupta has over two decades of work experience in the industry. Prior to joining this company, he has worked with names like P&G, Gillette and Indian Market Research Bureau.
