EFY And ELCINA join hands for EFY Expo 2014

Tuesday, September 24, 2013: In order to provide the much-needed boost to the growth of Indian electronics industry and an apt platform for real business, EFY and ELCINA have come together again. Continuing their long-term partnership, Electronics For You Group and ELCINA Electronics Industries Association of India have joined hands to launch EFY Expo 2014. Ever since its inception in 2011, EFY Expo has endeavored to be an Indian Electronics show for the global industry.

EFY Expo 2014, the fourth edition of the show, is striving to be bigger and better. EFY Group has been partnering with ELCINA for EFY Expo from the very beginning. Recent renewal of the initial three-year contract between ELCINA and EFY re-establishes their commitment towards the Indian electronics industry.

Cherishing the relationship that the two organisations share, Rajoo Goel, Secretary General, ELCINA, said, “This contract is an extension of the relationship that EFY and ELCINA have been sharing. ELCINA and EFY have always been working very closely and share a long history of close association between the EFY management and ELCINA members. What the two of us have been trying to do, and are achieving gradually, is develop and build an industry event which will provide an effective and global platform for the domestic electronics companies. While the expo is open to participation and exhibition from all companies across various countries, our main objective is to get good participation from the companies manufacturing in India, so that we can support domestic value addition and also try to promote more joint ventures and investment. That is the whole purpose of this entire exercise. I think we are achieving it and will have to continue in the same direction for better results. In the process of creating an Indian electronics show for the global industry, we are also co-operating and trying to do things that are promoting the manufacturing opportunity in India. We are working to bring two partner countries for EFY Expo 2014, so that we have more international participation and global buyers coming in.”

Speaking about EFY’s relationship with ELCINA, Ramesh Chopra, executive chairman, EFY Group, said, “This contract is a wonderful extension of the relationship that ELCINA and EFY have been sharing for a long time. EFY Expo brings the entire ecosystem for electronics industry under one umbrella. This event is one of our sincere efforts and commitments towards the industry, where we strive to contribute in making India an important manufacturing hub. This year’s EFY Expo is being held in partnership with the Department of Telecom, Government of India.”

EFY Expo 2014 is scheduled to happen from 20 to 22 February, 2014 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
