Battery charge monitors

In May 2011, Elak launched a battery charge monitor, designed for online monitoring of the rise in voltage of batteries under charge.

Features and USP: The fully charged condition of the battery is indicated by means of a flashing LED, indicating that it may be disconnected from the charger. In case the battery is not removed, and the charging continues – another LED flashes to indicate over-charging. The monitor ensures that the batteries connected to it are charged to the required voltage. It helps in preventing damage and over-charging of batteries. Although recommended for all batteries, it is ideal for monitoring maintenance-free and VRLA batteries, which cannot withstand over charging. The product is priced at Rs 3000.
