Acer Swift 3 and Acer Aspire 5s Laptops Launched in India

Acer India launched its latest Aspire 5s and Swift 3 notebooks in the Indian market on Thursday. The Taiwan based laptops and notebook manufacturer said that Acer Aspire 5s is company’s first Intel Whiskey Lake processors powered laptop in India. Acer Swift 3 line-up includes a 14-inch and a 15.6-inch model.

Chandrahas Panigrahi, CMO and consumer business head, Acer India said, “We are thrilled to introduce our new range of thin and light laptops in India. We have been receiving an overwhelming response for our Aspire and Swift series notebooks, and we are now pushing the limits by introducing the notebooks in the Aspire and Swift series that are thinner, lighter and more powerful with true cinematic screens. He further added, “Aspire 5s is one of India’s first ultrathin notebook that features Intel’s Whiskey Lake Processor and offers astonishing performance. While Swift 3’s both 14 inch and 15.6-inch editions aim to offer outstanding performance and all-day battery life to the users.”

Acer Aspire 5s specifications

Acer Aspire 5s, powered by latest Intel Whiskey Lake 8th Generation Core i3 and Core i5 U series processors, features a 15.6-inch full-HD IPS display that offers a 1080 x 1920 screen resolution. It comes installed with Acer’s BluelightShield technology and colour intelligence.

The Acer Aspire 5s Whiskey Lake processor laptops will come coupled with Intel Optane memory and Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics card. Acer has also equipped it with a precision touch-pad for smoother navigation.

Aspire 5s gets 2X2 MIMO Wi-Fi 802.11ac in terms of connectivity and weighs 1800 grams.

Acer Swift 3 specifications

Available in 14-inch and 15.6-inch variants with full-HD IPS display panel offering 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, the Acer Swift offers slim bezels with a 178-degree viewing angle. It comes powered by options of 8th generation Intel’s Core i5 8130U/ 8250U processors, coupled with up to 8GB of DDR4 RAM, up to 512GB PCIe SSD storage and Intel Optane memory.

The 15.6-inch Acer Swift 3 variant comes coupled with a Nvidia GeForce MX150x or MX130x graphics card. Connectivity options on the Acer Swift 3 include 2X2 MIMO Wi-Fi 801.11ac and 4G LTE.

Both 14- and 15.6-inch variants of the Acer Swift 3 series weigh about 1450 grams each.

Acer Aspire 5s, Swift 3 India price and availability

Acer has priced the Intel Whiskey Lake processors powered Aspire 5s at Rs. 40,999. Acer Swift 3, on the other hand will be available for buying at a starting price of Rs. 64,999 in India.

The new Acer notebooks will be available across multi brand outlets, leading electronic retail stores and Acer exclusive stores.
