VLSI Design Conference 2023 To Be Held At Hyderabad

*The conference features 30-plus eminent global industry leaders and 70+ semiconductor innovations.

The Government of Hyderabad is strongly focusing on resource Skilling and nurturing a vibrant Startup Ecosystem housed under T-Hub, RICH, T-Works, TSIC, We Hub. Taking a step forward and being supported and sponsored by major companies; the 36th International Conference of VLSI Design and the 22nd International Conference on Embedded Systems (VLSI Design Conference 2023), is said to be held in Hyderabad from 8th to 12th January 2023.

More than 2,000 global Delegates are expected to attend the 5-day VLSI Design Conference which will be hosting 70+ promising IEEE publications (Papers & Posters). The best among these publications would be recognized under the Conference’s flagship award categories.

Bringing more than 30 leading experts in the fields of semiconductors and electronics business, academia, research, innovators, and industry policy makers, this global conference is themed “Semiconductors Driving Disruptive Innovations in Global Digitalization.”

Along with Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Govt of India, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship; and Shri. Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, Minister for Information Technology, Municipal Administration and Urban Development at the Government of Telangana, there will be many eminent speakers on the day of the inauguration.

The 5-day Conference features 2-day tutorials and a 3-day conference. The 2- day tutorials will have sessions running in three parallel tracks; while the 3-day Conference will deliver thought-provoking sessions. The sessions would run on 5G, Automotive, Semiconductor Manufacturing and OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) & EDA. The conference will also be holding contests like Design Contest, User Design Track, and Student Research Forum where budding VLSI engineers can present their talent and compete with the industry talent and win awards. 

Currently, there are 70 papers and posters that account for 20-25% of the approved submissions. These papers come from renowned national, and international universities and corporations. 

Sanjay Churiwala, General Chair VLSID 2023 said,  “The first physical conference post-pandemic has garnered great interest and enthusiasm. This conference acts as a platform for industry and academia alike to discuss, deliberate, and explore the frontiers of the semiconductor ecosystem that could eventually enable disruptive technologies for global digitalisation.”
