Amazon India has said that as per the company’s new guidelines electronics are no longer eligible for refunds. This can be major game changer to the e-commerce market in India as electronics are one of the highest sold items over the net, and over the last year Amazon has taken a major pie in the India’s e-commerce domain. What is good news is that defective items will get replaced. This is valid for only those products that the fulfilled by Amazon and not for those which are seller-fulfilled.
“Mobile phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, monitors, cameras and camera lenses that are fulfilled by Amazon are not eligible for refund and have a replacement only policy. In case you have received a defective or a damaged mobile phone, tablet, laptop, desktop, monitor, camera or camera lens that is fulfilled by Amazon, you will be eligible for a free replacement by the seller as per the product replacement policies provided on Amazon.in,” said the company.
IN terms of refurbished electronic items like mobiles, tablets, laptops, the company issue refunds if the customers exchange it within 10 days from purchasing.
