Fossil Sport Smartwatch With 350 mAH Battery Unveiled

Priced at $255 (approx. Rs 18,700), the latest Fossil ‘Sport’ smartwatch will compete against the likes of Michael Kros Access Dylan smartwatch and Fitbit Blaze smartwatch in India

Fossil, popular for its  watches across the world has unveiled its latest smartwatch. Christened ‘Sport’, this Fossil smartwatch boosts 350 mAH battery and is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip.

Fossil Sport smartwatch price

Priced at $255 (approx. Rs 18,700), the latest Fossil Sport smartwatch will compete against the likes of Michael Kros Access Dylan smartwatch and Fitbit Blaze smartwatch in the country. The former is currently retailing for a price of Rs 17,417, while the latter is available for a price of Rs 17,999 on a popular e-commerce portal in India.

Fossil, just weeks ago, had also launched Vapor 2 smartwatch under Misfit brand.

Fossil Sport smartwatch features

The Fossil Sport smartwatch comes mated to Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip that was unveiled in September 2018. The chip is said to offer enhanced battery life and 4G LTE connectivity.

Fossil is claiming that the 350 mAH battery not only supports rapid charging but also offers up to a day of usage on a full single charge. The popular watch brand also says that the latest smartwatch can offer two days usage time if operated on the battery saving mode. Customers can charge Fossil Sport smartwatch using wireless and magnetic charging as well.

Fossil Sport is installed with latest Wear OS interface from Google. It offers access to options including Google Assistant and health coaching features from Google Fit and Quick Swipe. The Sport smartwatch by Fossil boosts an inbuilt altimeter, heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor, mic and speaker for calls.

Fossil claims that consumers can pair Sport Smartwatch with their iOS or Android devices using Bluetooth. It also boosts NFC for contact less payments and has built in GPS.

The latest Fossil Sport smartwatch will be available globally from November 12.
