While inaugurating the National Conference on Drone Technology in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that drone technology is a sector which has huge potential to keep progressing further and the state government has premeditated to start various pieces of training through Kaushalya University’s School of Drones to promote it. Adding further, Sh Patel said that arrangements have been made to provide drone pilot training in 50 ITIs of the state for this purpose. It is noteworthy that the CM launched the ‘Drone Mantra’ Lab and inaugurated the national conference organized by the Labour, Skill Development and Employment Department, Government of Gujarat and Kaushalya – The Skill University. The Chief Minister added that drones have become a means to provide delivery services to the doorsteps in remote areas.

The conference was graced with the presence of the chairman of Quality Council of India, Sh Jaxay Shah, Registrar of Kaushalya – The Skill University, Sh H.R. Suthar, Chief Skill Co-ordinator, Sh P.A. Mistry and other eminent personalities. Along with drone manufacturing, drone training facilities can also be availed in the Drone Mantra Lab, where new uses and research of drones would also be encouraged. The government believes that this way, the youth will also get an opportunity to study drone data analysis and programming courses along with drone manufacturing.

All the stakeholders have been increasingly focusing on the development and expansion of the drone ecosystem. A few months back, students from IIT-Guwahati designed smart drones to be used for multiple purposes.
