800-Kilowatt Rooftop Solar System Installed By Orb Energy

Once implemented, this initiative is expected to deliver a full return on investment within two years and three months; the company anticipates that these savings will not only enhance operational efficiency but also contribute to long-term financial stability.

Orb Energy has successfully commissioned an 800-kilowatt rooftop solar system at Esteem Industries Private Limited, located in Alonde, Wada, Maharashtra. The solar installation will generate over 1 million units of electricity annually, meeting a significant portion of the factory’s energy needs while promoting environmental sustainability. This project is expected to cut approximately 1,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, showcasing a positive step towards sustainable industrial operations.

In addition to its environmental impact, the rooftop solar system is projected to generate significant financial savings for Esteem Industries, reducing electricity costs by more than INR 1.4 crores per year. The company anticipates recouping its investment in just 2 years and 3 months.  Esteem Industries, consumes considerable energy for its manufacturing processes. The solar solution will generate about 3,100 kilowatt-hours of energy per day, fulfilling approximately 80% of the factory’s daytime electricity requirements.

It provides collateral-free loans to encourage solar adoption further, making it easier for companies to invest in sustainable energy. With over 310 megawatts of solar systems deployed across India, it continues strengthening its role in the country’s renewable energy sector.

Saurabh Seth, General Manager of PV Projects at Orb Energy, remarked, “This project reflects our ongoing commitment to equipping SMEs and MSMEs with cost-efficient solar power solutions. It delivers meaningful economic benefits and helps businesses meet their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) targets.”
