NoBug Consulting SRL and NoBug d.o.o., from Romania and Serbia have been acquired by Infineon Technologies. Even though the purchase price has not been disclosed, both parties seem to be equipped to tackle the growing IoT product developments.
NoBug, with around 120 engineers on board, provides verification and design services for all the digital functions of semiconductor products. It was founded in 1998 and is represented in Bucharest, Brașov, Iași (all Romania) and Belgrade (Serbia).

Thomas Rosteck, President of Infineon’s Division CSS said, “We are looking for the highest-skilled experts to grow our IoT business. Therefore, Romania and Serbia are the locations of choice for expanding our R&D activities in Eastern Europe.”
Guenter Krasser, Vice President and Managing Director of Infineon Romania, added, “The acquisition will also further bolster Infineon Romania as a growth location for R&D in Europe and open up ample new development opportunities for our engineers.”
Infineon Romania currently holds R&D ownership for various product segments of the company. The Bucharest Development Centre is one of Infineon’s largest R&D centres in Europe.
