Renesas Electronics Corporation has partnered with Tata Motors Ltd. and Tejas Networks Ltd. Along with the ‘next-generation EV Innovation Center (NEVIC)’, these collaborations extend the technology and business partnership of the companies.
With electronics being the future of automotive systems, this collaboration focuses on developing relevant electronics for better performance of EVs. The partnership with TML would explore a non-exclusive partnership on emerging technologies like ADAS. The collaboration with Tejas focuses on wireless network solutions that enable open and flexible 5G RAN deployments.
The solutions would initially be available in India before expanding to global markets.
This partnership accelerates progress in advanced electronics for India and emerging markets and would also establish a Joint System Solution Development Center in Bangalore, which will focus on comprehensive system solutions.
Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, says “We see great potential in collaborating with Renesas in areas like automotive electronics and present and future telecom networks. The collaboration will accelerate our presence in these areas in India as well as globally.”
Hidetoshi Shibata, President and CEO at Renesas says, “This partnership brings two industry leading companies closer together, creating numerous benefits. Renesas and Tata will support the acceleration of progress in advanced electronics and its multitudes of applications for the Indian and emerging markets, which sets us both on a path for continued success.”
