Adani Defence and Aerospace has proudly delivered a second Drishti-10 Starliner surveillance drone to the Indian Navy, significantly enhancing India’s maritime capabilities for monitoring vital shipping lanes and combating piracy threats.

Following the successful handover of the first Drishti-10 drone earlier this year, the induction of this second advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a cutting-edge version of Israel’s Hermes 900 medium-altitude long-endurance UAV, marks a pivotal step in strengthening naval operations, initiated at Porbandar in Gujarat. This development underscores India’s commitment to securing its maritime interests.

The Drishti-10 Starliner drone, produced by Adani Defence and Aerospace, part of the conglomerate led by billionaire Gautam Adani, comes from its state-of-the-art facility in Hyderabad. This advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) platform boasts an impressive endurance of 36 hours and a payload capacity of 450 kg, making it a formidable asset for modern defense operations.

Drishti 10, India’s sole indigenous UAV capable of operating reliably above 32,000 feet, boasts a significant payload capacity and exceptional endurance. This UAV not only withstands harsh conditions but thrives, demonstrating remarkable resilience across the challenging terrains and climates of the Himalayas. According to sources, the Drishti-10 offers persistent, over-the-horizon capabilities with multiple payload options, fully autonomous operation, and Satcom-based functionalities, showcasing its advanced technological prowess for modern military requirements.
