AmpereHour Energy Unveils Intelligent Energy Storage Manufacturing Platform

The facility marks AmpereHour’s transition from a BESS technology integrator to an advanced manufacturing company

AmpereHour Energy has unveiled its new BESS Manufacturing and Integration Facility in Chakan, Pune.

AmpereHour Energy’s new manufacturing facility will focus on producing Make in India battery cabinets and containerised Battery DC-AC Blocks for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial (C&I) energy storage applications.

The manufacturing platform integrates the company’s hardware-agnostic architecture, proprietary Energy Management System (EMS), subsystem engineering, and advanced safety features with AH-Suite, AmpereHour’s digital factory quality management and product testing platform. The platform enables complete product traceability, performance validation, and a faster transition from manufacturing to field deployment.

The company said its move into manufacturing is backed by years of experience delivering complex Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. Insights gained from real-world deployments on system performance, safety, reliability, and lifecycle management have shaped the design and manufacturing of its new products.

Commenting on the expansion, Rahul Shelke, Co-founder and Managing Director of AmpereHour Energy, said, “Energy storage is becoming the backbone of the future grid, and India has an opportunity to lead not just in scale, but through technology-led innovation. Our expansion into advanced BESS manufacturing is built on years of experience as system integrators—understanding what makes storage assets safer, smarter and more reliable in real operating environments. With our Make in India DC Block platform and digital infrastructure like AH-Suite, we are building more than products; we are building long-term energy resilience.”

The facility marks AmpereHour’s transition from a BESS technology integrator to an advanced manufacturing company focused on developing intelligent, digitally validated energy storage systems for both domestic and international markets. With a planned annual manufacturing capacity of 5 GWh, the facility is expected to strengthen India’s energy storage ecosystem through localized integration, enhanced engineering capabilities, and digital innovation.

The company’s Battery Energy Storage Systems are powered by its proprietary ELINA Energy Management System, which has supported renewable energy integration, peak demand management, grid flexibility, and long-term asset performance across multiple deployments.

Speaking on the development, Ayush Misra, Co-founder and CEO of AmpereHour Energy, said, “For us, manufacturing was a natural progression of our journey as a BESS technology integrator. Energy storage is not just about assembling batteries; it is about engineering intelligent assets that deliver reliable performance throughout their lifecycle. AH-Suite brings our field learnings into manufacturing by ensuring every system is digitally validated before it reaches site.”

The company added that these operational learnings now form the foundation of its manufacturing strategy, combining engineering expertise, software intelligence, and digital validation to deliver next-generation Battery Energy Storage Systems.
