ARC Electric And Aon Plc Team Up For Eco-Friendly Employee Transport

ARC Electric, an expert in electric vehicle transportation, will supply Aon with electric cabs to replace conventional fossil-fuel vehicles. This program will be implemented in various major Indian cities. In the initial quarter of 2024, from January through March, ARC Electric provided Aon with environmentally friendly electric vehicles. These vehicles travelled about 80,000 kilometres during that time, leading to a decrease in CO2 emissions by approximately 12,000 kilograms. This reduction is akin to the environmental benefit of preserving 462 trees.

ARC Electric has formed a partnership with Aon plc to enhance sustainability in employee transportation by incorporating electric vehicles (EVs) into Aon’s operations in India. This collaboration is designed to significantly reduce Aon’s carbon footprint and aligns with the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals of both companies, focusing on providing eco-friendly transportation solutions.

As a specialist in EV transportation, ARC Electric is equipping Aon with electric vehicles to replace traditional fossil-fuelled cabs as part of this initiative. The rollout is taking place across several major cities in India. In the first three months of 2024, ARC Electric supplied Aon with eco-friendly EV cabs that collectively covered around 80,000 kilometres. This operation resulted in the reduction of approximately 12,000 kg of CO2 emissions, equating to the environmental benefit of saving 462 trees.

Abhinav Kalia, Founder & CEO of ARC Electric, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting it as a significant step toward their mission of promoting sustainable transportation solutions. By providing Aon with state-of-the-art EV cabs, ARC Electric aims to contribute to a greener future and improve the riding experience for Aon’s employees.

Manish Gupta, Director of Aon India, and Rahul Kedia, CFO of Aon India, also emphasized the importance of this partnership in aligning with Aon’s ESG goals, stating that adopting ARC Electric’s EVs is a concrete step toward reducing their carbon footprint and promoting environmentally responsible practices. This initiative not only showcases Aon’s leadership in green initiatives but also enhances economic benefits and employee convenience and comfort.

Aon’s commitment to corporate responsibility and sustainable practices is further highlighted by its adoption of EVs for employee transportation. With a workforce of approximately 50,000 across 120 countries, Aon aims to set a precedent in reducing environmental impact. The use of ARC Electric’s EVs supports sustainable transportation and improves the safety and overall ride experience for Aon’s employees.

Additionally, as part of this partnership, ARC Electric is leveraging its technological expertise to develop a B2B EV platform that streamlines the entire Employee Transportation System (ETS) lifecycle, from onboarding to scheduling, monitoring, and service enhancement. This collaboration aims to provide efficient and environmentally sustainable transportation services for Aon plc.
