Strengthening global access to Azoteq’s sensing and lighting technologies, the new partnership expands product reach through Astute Group’s distribution network.
Astute Group has signed a franchise distribution agreement with Azoteq, a global pioneer in intelligent sensor and driver solutions, strengthening its portfolio of advanced sensing and power-management technologies. The partnership aims to give engineers broader access to Azoteq’s mixed-signal and sensor innovations, enabling smarter, energy-efficient, and responsive electronic designs across industries.
The agreement grants Astute Group the ability to distribute Azoteq’s full range of solutions, including the ProxFusion, ProxSense, PowerSense, and LightSense families. These technologies support modern touch, proximity, gesture, light, and power-sensing applications used in consumer devices, IoT systems, industrial automation, automotive electronics, and wearables.
Mike Ward, Technical BDM, Semiconductors at Astute Group, said the collaboration aligns with the company’s mission to support next-generation design needs. He noted that Azoteq’s sensor portfolio offers flexibility and precision that help engineers improve interface design and optimise system efficiency.
Azoteq President & CEO Dr Frederick J. Bruwer said Astute’s strong technical expertise and market reach will accelerate access to its sensing technologies. He emphasised that the partnership will help customers streamline user-interface development, enhance power performance, and bring intelligent products to market faster.
Azoteq’s portfolio includes capacitive, inductive, light, and power-sensing controllers, as well as LED drivers and power-management ICs. By becoming an authorised distributor, Astute Group reinforces its position as a trusted partner for advanced component sourcing, offering comprehensive design-in support and supply-chain strength to global engineering teams.
