Ather Energy To Launch The First Mass-Market Electric Scooter On August 29

The new scooter, built on Ather’s next-generation EL platform, marks the company’s entry into the mass-market electric scooter segment with a focus on affordability, scalability and connected mobility.

Electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy will reveal its first mass-market electric scooter on August 29 during Ather Community Day 2026 in Bengaluru, marking a great step as the company’s entry into the fast-growing affordable EV sector.

According to The Economic Times, the scooter will be the first ever model based on Ather’s new EL platform, its first all-new vehicle architecture since the launch of the 450 platform in 2016. Alongside the launch, the company will also display new technologies, charging solutions and ecosystem features aimed at showing EV ownership more seamless.

The new platform has been developed to improve versatility, scalability and manufacturing efficiency, and will support Ather’s future product portfolio across multiple vehicle segments.

“The theme for this year’s event is ‘A New Dawn of Magic’, where Ather will unveil the first scooter from its new EL platform, marking its entry into the mass-market scooter segment,” the company said.
