AT&T has appointed Jennifer Biry as its next chief financial officer, with current CFO Pascal Desroches set to retire at the end of 2026.
Telecommunications giant AT&T has announced a planned leadership transition in its finance department, with Chief Financial Officer Pascal Desroches set to retire at the end of 2026. The company has selected longtime executive Jennifer Biry to succeed him, effective January 1, 2027.
According to a regulatory filing, Biry was appointed deputy CFO on June 16 as part of the succession plan. She brings more than two decades of experience at AT&T, having held senior leadership positions across finance, strategy and sales functions since joining the company in 1999.
Biry previously served as Chief Financial Officer of WarnerMedia between 2020 and 2022, when the media business operated under AT&T’s ownership. She also held the CFO role at cybersecurity company McAfee before returning to a broader leadership position within AT&T.
Desroches joined AT&T in 2021 and played a central role in reshaping the company’s financial strategy. During his tenure, he oversaw initiatives aimed at reducing costs, streamlining the balance sheet and supporting significant investments in the company’s 5G wireless and fiber broadband networks.
The transition comes as AT&T continues to focus on expanding its telecommunications infrastructure while maintaining financial discipline. By naming Biry well ahead of Desroches’ departure, the company aims to ensure continuity in leadership and execution of its long-term growth strategy.
Desroches will remain in his role through December 31, 2026, providing a lengthy transition period before Biry formally takes charge of the finance function.
