Expanding its charging network to 6500+ points nationwide, Audi India amps up its EV game, boosting fast-charging access and easing electric mobility for all customers.
Audi India has announced a major expansion of its electric vehicle (EV) charging network, now offering more than 6500 charging points nationwide. This development is part of Phase II of its ‘Charge My Audi’ programme.
To support this expansion, the luxury automaker has joined forces with 16 additional EV infrastructure providers. These partnerships aim to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility across India.
Audi says over 75% of the new charging stations are equipped with DC fast-charging technology. This will significantly reduce charging times and enhance convenience for EV users.
The second phase of the initiative has added more than 5500 new charging points. These are strategically placed across highways, city centres, and commercial hubs to support long-distance travel and daily commuting needs.
In a Business Standard report, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, highlighted the importance of a strong charging network in encouraging EV use. He stated that the new rollout reflects the company’s commitment to providing reliable, accessible infrastructure to its customers.
Audi’s infrastructure partners include Shell India, Adani Total Energies E-Mobility, Charge Zone, and Statiq, among others. These partnerships are expected to play a vital role in shaping the future of electric mobility in the region.
