The MoU reflects BEL’s dedication towards the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative
Bharat Electronics Limited has recently inked a deal with the Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development (FSID-IISc). The agenda behind this deal is to enhance partnership in innovation and technology development under BEL’s Corporate Innovation Program (CIP).
Under this agreement, BEL will utilise FSID-IISc’s research ecosystem, deep-tech expertise, and innovation network to improve the development of advanced technologies for strategic and operational defence applications.
The agenda of this deal is to form partnerships with startups, academia, and MSMEs while advancing indigenous technological capabilities in the aerospace and defence sectors.
Indian Institute of Science-promoted FSID functions as a technology bridge between academia, industry, and innovators, providing access to deep science and deep-tech expertise within IISc. The organisation supports startups, researchers, and institutions that can address complex technical challenges through innovation-driven partnerships.
This MoU showcases BEL’s dedication towards the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat. The collaboration is expected to support targeted research, product development, and technology commercialisation by connecting industry requirements with academic and research capabilities.
