Borg unveils solar power home series starting at Rs 50K

Friday, November 08, 2013: Borg Energy India Private Limited has unveiled the Borg Astra Plus Home Series, which is a range of fully loaded micro solar power plants, designed to meet the energy needs of domestic households.

Renowned squash player, Dipika Pallikal unveiled the ‘Smart Grid’ technology enabled Power Controller Units (PCU) dubbed Borg Astra Plus Home Series recently. The pricing of the solution starts from Rs Rs 50,000.

According to company claims, the fully loaded Borg Astra Plus Home Series generates maximum power output which is a significant improvement over its earlier Borg Astra Home Series.

The Borg Astra Plus Home Series comes in four variants namely 500BX, 1000ZXI, 1500ZXI and 2500ZXI, which promises to save up to 60 per cent of households electricity bills. This is especially useful in dealing with massive power shortages with its conversion efficiency of 98 per cent and less than 3 milli seconds transfer time.

Commenting on the launch, Boaz Augustin, Jr, managing director, Asia Pacific, BORG Energy India Private Limited, said, “Borg’s endeavour has always been towards empowering people to generate their own power. We are delighted to launch our Astra Plus Home Series micro solar power plants that give every household the freedom from power cuts. We seek to empower people to make alternative green power a way of life and look at ‘Solar’ as a priority medium to generate uninterrupted power supply. Off grid household micro solar power plants are a feasible option, especially in India, which receives 300 clear sunny days in a year.”
