As per the latest research by IDC, it is found that cloud adoption is much needed in India. In their research on “Hybrid/Multicloud: Embracing multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud strategies with right set of management tools”, IDC analyzes the cloud preference of Indian organizations and the different ways in which they can address the management challenges.
Cloud has become a critical element in organisations’ IT. Currently, hybrid and multicloud strategies are not the only ones that IT infrastructure decisions hold. Relevant management tools like workload portability, consistent software-controlled infrastructure, and hybrid public and private cloud architectures are being considered critical.
Rithika Ponnala, Senior Market Analyst at IDC India said, “As organizations are transitioning to hybrid multi-cloud environments, having a holistic view of their IT environment becomes critical. Lack of visibility makes organizations more vulnerable to security and operational risks, etc., ultimately impacting their resiliency. Therefore investing in tools that act as a single pane of reference for all of the cloud is key for operational and business excellence.”
These cloud management tools are available for deployment on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) basis by vendors such as IBM, VMware, and Micro Focus among others. These solutions enable organizations to streamline management and workflows, provide visibility (cost and operational) across on-premises and clouds, incorporate automation capabilities for intelligent resource provisioning (based on load), reduce cloud spending, and optimize performance.
